Misc Exhibits at the TGMS Show Part 2

This post is the second one giving a pictorial guide to the various showcase exhibits at the Tucson show. This post and the one before it are of all the non-themed cases. The themed cases of "Minerals of Western Europe" have been described in their own separate posts.

Misc Exhibits at the TGMS Show Part 1

Aside from the main theme of "Minerals of Western Europe," the Tucson show also hosts a variety of other special exhibits from various museums, collectors, and mineral societies. In fact, there were more non-themed exhibit showcases than themed ones. This post and the following one feature all the non-themed exhibits at the show. The order of the pictures is once again not specific to any organization, but rather the sequence of my photography. Since there were many showcase exhibits, I divided these into 2 separate posts.

"Great Quartz Crystal Face Off" at the Tucson Show

This year's Tucson Show featured a smaller sub-theme in addition to the regular theme. The sub-theme was titled "The Great Quartz Crystal Face Off." There were twelve showcase exhibits filled with all different types of interesting and unique Quartz crystals. The pictures below show all the exhibits for this sub-theme, and towards the bottom of this post are several of the individual minerals within this exhibit.

Individual Minerals in Western Europe Exhibits at the TGMS Show: Part 1

In addition to taking pictures of all the exhibit showcases, I took some individual shots of those that I found particularly interesting. There were so many great minerals that I could have spent all my time on this, but I had to pick a limited number so that I wouldn't get overwhelmed. If I saw a mineral in case that had interesting aesthetics, was unique to a locality, and had something else about it that piqued my interest, I took a photo of it. I did take more photos, though these are the ones that came out well.
